Artificial Neural Network

What is ANN?

Artificial Neural Network is a simulated (by software or hardware) neural network that exist in animals' brains. ANN imitate brain's ability to sort out patterns and learn by trial and error, detecting and extracting underliying relationships in presented data.

ANNs learn from examples (e.g. just like children learn to recognise cats from examples of cats), and have capability for generalisation. They are particularly useful on tasks of classification, function approximation, forecasting, prediction, pattern recognition. FullRecall uses ANN to schedule reviews for days when an item will be close to forgetting.
